Last Thursday night we went to the lighted parade and were grateful that it was above freezing.

Last Friday night we had Joe's Company Christmas Party. Joe's mom watched the kids for us. She kept them for a whole day so on Saturday we braved the storm and went to Billing to the Temple and some Christmas shopping. When we got home Saturday night we quickly got the kids to bed so they would be tired for Church, then around 8:30 we heard the doorbell. People rarely ring the door bell, most of the people we know knock as they are walking in the door most of the time, so we were surprised to hear it that late at night. We looked out side and there was a bag from our secret Santa. The kids have been excited every night to see what has come. The last two night we have been gone so as we dive up to the house we hear the kids screaming "there's a present on the porch". We informed our secret Santa via letter taped to the front door that we were going to be gone the last 5 days of their 12 days of Christmas, so last night when we got home from Crystals Christmas Program there was a box with days 6-12 on our porch. Joe is a sticker and making us wait to open them on the designated day (patients is not my Strong point).

I had my cooking class that I am in charge for Relief Society on Tuesday night and was excited when I had 10 ladies come. Everyone brought goodies with the recipe and we got to try each treat.

Wednesday we went to Lovell to Diana (Joe's moms) ward Christmas party so the kids could see Santa. They got to see him at the college earlier that afternoon but they charged a lot for a picture with Santa. So they just sat on his lap and talked to him. They had their pictures taken taken in Lovell with Santa that night. We had a great time with mom.

Thursday night we had Crystals "Holiday" Program. She was our little girl. She did the concert up in true kindergarten style. She is not afraid in the least bit being in front of people so she did her utmost to give us all a good show. She added extra dance steps and actions to every song. She entertained the entire audience.

Crystal also made a Gingerbread house in school last week .

Today is our preparation day for out trek to Douglas to visit my parents for Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS every one.

A day Late But here is a little shout out to my mom for her birthday... She is the best mom and such a good example. She raised all seven of crazy people and still manages to maintain her sanity. Here is a little picture montage to her..

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week and weekend. Joe's sister Carene hosted this year Great big thank you to her. She is a great hostess. The kids loved going and seeing their cousins and all the animals. The kids loved the Mule, and going egg hunting with Abby. It was fun having so many people around to help out with the big meal. On Friday we went shopping and I found some cute clothes on a pretty good black Friday sale (we didn't go until afternoon). It was nice to get together with Joe's Family. There is always lots of fun to be had when we all get together. We were only missing Joe's brother. They were busy with their brand new baby girl Caitlyn. we sure missed them but were grateful they have their precious little girl. The last several months has made me extra aware of how grateful I am for family. Not just for family though but the Plan of Salvation and the opportunity to live with our families for Eternity.

After our wonderful time in Gillette, we headed home. On our way our plan was to stop in the mountain and get a Christmas tree. Well as life in the Emmett house hold goes things didn't go as planned. First we left late, then it took a while to find a place that sold the Tree permits. Well we finally started to the mountain (in the dark) and the farther up the mountain we got the worse the weather and road got. So we found a groomed road and went spotlighting for a tree. We found a great one and Joe and I went and cut in down in the snow storm. About halfway down the mountain the snow stopped and the roads cleared. I love our tree because it is covered with pine cones. Crystal only wanted a tree if it was a "Charlie Brown Tree". Well she got her wish. Almost all trees on the mountain are "Charlie Brown" Trees, but it looks better then one we bought at a lot last year. I love having a mountain fresh cut tree that we all get to put our decorations on together. Each year the kids get to pick out a new ornament for the tree. We still have to go and get this years ornaments. My tree reminds me of Christmas when I was growing up. So our Monday night home evening activity was decorating the tree. I love watching the kids. Clayton with plug the lights in first thing in the morning and sit there and look at the tree. I think they get that From me. I love to sit and look at Christmas trees and lights. at Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and have a great Christmas season.

I need to remember that I am 29 and pregnant and that I need my sleep. Tuesday night our ward had a special Family finance class. We had a friend watch the kids. When we got back she informed me I was going to a girls night with her and some other single friends. Well how could I turn down a girls night. So Joe and Went and said prayers withe the kids before I left and Clayton informed me that I was to stay home and Dad could go. Well I left and we got to our friends house at 9 and played some games and had a good time for a couple of hours. It was fun to be out with adults. When I got home at 1 a.m. Joe was laying in bed awake waiting for me. He is a worrier when it comes to me and so he was thinking of all the things that could have gone wrong to keep me out so late. After he knew I was fine he was asleep within minutes. I sure love that husband of mine. Clayton is trying this new system of just him and mom at home out and has become a big helper, sometime helper means making a great big mess so mom gets to steam cleaning the carpets. Cute kid that Clayton. I sure love my guys!!

Light, Camera, Action

Tis the season for Primary Programs I guess. Crystal had hers on Sunday and did very well. She had been working hard and had her part memorized. She also sang loud, to ensure that Mom and Dad could hear her. After Sacrament meeting was over the first things she asked was if we had heard her singing. She scared us a little during the sacrament song when she walked to the pulpit, luckily she just needed a tissue. Since she had no pockets in her dress,so she thought the best place for the tissue was on her shoulder inside her dress. So every time they got up to sing she made sure to take out the tissue and wipe her nose before singing and then stick it back inside her dress. I got several comments about how cute she was with that tissue. Her and Clayton kept waving back and forth to each other during the program. She sat right in the middle behind the piano so there was nothing obstructing a view of her by everyone. Also during the songs she would start leading the music along with the chorister. Joe said he needed to go home after sacrament meeting and when I asked him why he said "To Hide". But we sure do love our little performer.

Baby Emmett

Hey all, I had another ultrasound today and I thought I would share my favorite picture.. The baby is Defiantly one of our kids. It made it very hard on the technician to get many decent pictures. First it wouldn't stay still then when it slowed down a little it laid down on it's back and kept turning it's heard. It is a good thing we didn't want to know the gender because the baby was very modest. When she could get a good face shot the baby would either bring one hand up and start sucking on fingers, or would bring both arms up and block the shot. So My favorite picture is one of an arm.. I love little baby arms they are so little and cute, so that was great. Happy Veterans Day to all those out there.

Hey All this is a little of my week... First I did my Civic Duty and privilege and VOTED!!!! Most of who I voted for were Elected, But you can't win them all. Then I had two days to bast in the fact that all political ads and signs were gone I love taking Crystal to school and not seeing all those signs.

Then came the dreaded day. I turned 29 yesterday. So I went and bought my cake (chocolate with raspberry filling) and we went to dinner and had a couple friends over.. We had lots of fun..

This was a great Halloween. Fist we carved the pumpkins the night before. On Halloween we got the kids dresses up (Crystal a construction worker and Clayton a cowboy), Then we went to the church for trunk-r-treat. After that we went to a community Halloween party. It was so nice we sat outside at a picnic table and ate dinner we had gotten from the party.

Hey all this is our little scholar. This is a picture of her at Pre-School Graduation in the spring. In the mail the other day we received a letter from the Principal of Crystal's school. My first thought of my sweet little girl was "what did she do"! Well she did do something but it was very good. The school has an Accelerated Reader program at school. The kids read something then take a test and each test she takes she gets points for doing well. The most that she can earn in one school year is 25 points. Well she has 10 and has had her picture put up on the Reading wall of fame.. The Principal hopes she can get all 25 points by the end of the year. I figure is she can get 10 points the first 6 weeks of school the last 15 points will be done just about as quickly, I am thinking she might even get it done around Christmas if she keep up the good work. We sure are proud of her. She loves school and works had at learning to read. Her goal is to be able to read books to her little brother. She sure has a great big heart.

Down in a hole!!!!

It took a while to get this pictures but here they are. Joe and three of his friends wanted to go on a 4-wheeling/caving trip. Well it happened to be the same day as the General RS Broadcast so I declined the invitation to go along (plus I can't breath in caves so it was for the best). So off Joe and his friends went with our two kids and two of our buddies kids.

That would have been fun to have passed that group on the mountain, 4 men and 4 kids. They all had lots of fun , and I had a GREAT time at the RS broadcast. Our Stake had a dinner prier to the broadcast. It was nice to see my friends from other wards we don't run into very often now that we have moved to a new building. If you didn't see the broadcast try to get a copy of it and watch it.

Clayton was running in the house a couple weeks ago, when I heard a blood curdling cry. Clayton had grabbed a fork from the kitchen before he began running and when he fell he just about lost an eye. Luckily for all of us he just missed his eyeball. He has learned that you don't run with things in your hand.

Just thought I would let you know what we have been up to this week. Friday we went out to dinner with some friends. It was fun to have a couple to hang out with instead of just all single people, Though we do love the single people we hang out with also.. Last night one our our single guy buddies offered to watch the kids so we could go out to dinner just the two of us.. We took him up on the offer. When we got home the kids were in bed (not asleep). Shortly after we had some more people over and played games until 11. It was tons of fun though. I thought I would put in some pictures of my Roses, I think they still believe it is summer it has been so nice. The Roses are booming like Crazy..

Here we are again. One year later and we are still married and better yet we are still in Love and still even like each other. We have now been married for 8 wonderful years and can't believe how blessed we are to have found each other. We love you all. I Love Blog's

I just wanted to say what a blessing starting a blog has been. I have found A LOT of family blogs, Family that I don't see very often. I love being able to see what all the family all over the county has been up to and see the pictures of their beautiful families. What a blessing family is. My Dad sent and email the other day asking us to Pray For my Cousin Susan's little boy Neal who is in the hospital and Dad said "Isn't it wonderful that, in a Celestial family sealed together for eternity, we can all join our faith and prayers together in special times like this." How true this is. I have seen the power of prayer when a family combines their faith. This is the biggest blessing in my life. Without family The Journey and the finish line would be pretty dull and lonely.

Hey all I was told I needed some more pictures. Until my computer is fixed so it works right I will have to just do a couple at a time. This is Joe and I with Paul, Amanda, Linette and Todd. We had just gotten off the river after a 12 mile rafting trip that took 50 minutes. We were going pretty fast and we got pretty wet before it was all said and done. Once I Get the computer working right I will do a slide show about all our different adventures this summer. Oh ya the tall skinny guy with no shirt on is our just turned 18 year old river guide..
